Seeking Capable Accounting and Tax Intern for a Certified Public Accounting firm in Houston TX

This is a position where you will be able to learn all you need to know about accounting and taxes for small business owners. We promise that you will gain valuable and unique experiences (we even have our own YouTube channel) where you will learn to appreciate how important business accounting and taxes are to help businesses grow. Rather than working behind the desks, interns have the opportunity to interact with clients who are primarily business owners.

A self-starter! You need to LOVE accounting and taxes like all of us do! You need to be passionate about numbers. Candidates who strive in our environment are the ones who have excellent excel skills, know and understand QuickBooks/Xero and you stand a chance to be a superstar if you love to read and understand IRS rules and regulations. Strong preference for those who know LACERTE. If you know Lacerte, we may consider offering you a position right away!

What qualifications do you need to have?

Accounting, accounting, accounting! You must be an accounting major and you MUST have an accounting degree. You need to understand your debits and credits. You need to be familiar with IRS rules and regulations. We prefer candidates who have completed 1040, 1065, 1120S and 1120.
 

Current enrollment and completion of at least one semester at a college or university working towards a degree in Business, Accounting, or closely related field.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting salary will need to commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualification. Immediate raise after 3 months of probation. Health insurance included.
